Note:-  The charges are mentioned as per one unit in the above table.

These amounts may vary based on different grounds.

  • Many times, a Dentist may offer a packaged deal of the costing and number of sittings required.
  • The qualification of the dentist plays a major role as well. Dentists with only BDS qualifications tend to charge less than the dentists with MDS qualifications.
  • Charges tend to vary with experience as well. Experienced dentists (20 - 30 years) are likely to charge more.
  • The location and facilities of the clinic itself are very important. For example, the fee for a Root Canal procedure may go up by Rs. 250 to Rs. 500 if the clinic is in a luxurious area as opposed to an unsophisticated area.
  • Some doctors don’t charge a consultation fee or any upfront amount if you hire them for the actual treatment diagnosed by them. This is more common in the small cities.
  • Some clinics are run by charities, and they don’t usually charge any consultation fees. They only charge a minimal fee for some treatments.
  • Sometimes there may be promotional clinics and they don’t charge for consultation or take a very nominal fee. Their goal is to promote a particular dental product or the clinic itself.
  • Price also varies due to negotiations with the patient. Dentists may let go of a portion of the fee considering some special situation or need of the patient.
