NEET PG is the single exam for medical graduates that is conducted by NBE (National Board of Examinations) for MD/MS and PG Diploma courses across India. This is a national-level entrance exam where the exam’s score determines qualification for counselling, with the exam's score's percentile and it happens in multiple rounds. MCC manages this counselling process for AIQ holders and the rest is managed by the Uttar Pradesh state counselling authority for the state quota of MD/MS seats. Uttar Pradesh, which is the most populous state of India, offers a large number of government and private medical colleges that are affiliated with Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU) and other reputed universities. Institutions like SGPGIMS, KGMU, BHU (IMS), Rani Durgavati Medical College, etc., are foundation colleges in postgraduate medical studies in the state.
