Varun Grover is an Indian comedian, screenwriter, and lyricist who gained sudden and widespread popularity with his film Masaan (2015). An alumnus of IIT BHU Varanasi, Grover is the recipient of the Best Lyricist award at the 63rd National Film Award for the song Moh Moh Ke Dhaage. He started his career as a dialogue writer with Accident on Hill Road (2009), after which he wrote the lyrics for Gangs of Wasseypur (2012) and its sequel Gangs of Wasseypur 2 (2012).
