DAY WISE
ITINERARY FOR SANDAKPHU TREKKING PACKAGE
· DAY 1: NJP/BAGDOGRA to MANEBHANJAN
Arrive at NJP or Siliguri, where we will greet you and start the
journey to Manebhanjan, the gateway for your Sandakphu Trekking.
Enjoy scenic views along the way, including forests, tea gardens, and small
villages. After checking in, explore Manebhanjan and relax. Stay overnight at a
hotel or homestay.
· DAY 2: MANEBHANJAN to TUMLING/TONGLU
After breakfast, start the trek to Tumling or Tonglu. Pass
through the villages of Chitrey, Meghma, and Tonglu, each
offering beautiful views and unique charm. Tumling, located at 10,000 ft,
offers clear views of Mt. Kanchenjunga on clear days. Explore Tumling
and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
· DAY 3: TUMLING to KALIPOKHRI
Trek to Kalipokhri, passing through bamboo and rhododendron
forests. Visit Jhaubari for a tea break and continue to Kalipokhri,
a sacred pond. The area is peaceful, but temperatures can drop below freezing
at night, so dress warmly.
· DAY 4: KALIPOKHRI to SANDAKPHU
Trek the final stretch to Sandakphu. The 6 km journey is steep
but offers breathtaking views of snowy peaks, including Everest, Kanchenjunga,
and Chomolhari. Rest at Sandakphu and enjoy the magnificent scenery.
· DAY 5: SANDAKPHU to SRIKHOLA
Start the return trek, passing through lush forests and blooming
rhododendrons in spring. Reach Gurdum, a small village, and continue to Srikhola,
known for its mountain streams. Relax and enjoy the evening.
· DAY 6: END OF TREK
After breakfast, take a shared vehicle back to NJP/Siliguri/Bagdogra via
Rimbik, Manebhanjan, and Mirik, concluding your Sandakphu Trekking
adventure.
